Flight: Celebrating 100 Years

World War II Plane Spotter Models

These hand carved models of World War II planes were designed to train civilians and armed forces personnel to recognized different aircraft. They came as kits with the basic block shapes cut out. They then had to be shaped according to the pattern included in the kit to the correct airplane silhouette. These models were carved by Harold F Bateman of Bedford, WY
